THAILAND: Technology workers are expecting a computer hardware shortage to begin in May, with the Covid-19 pandemic impacting heavily on production in China.
Apart from the shortage, a rise in computer prices has been seen and will continue if lockdowns in Chinese cities, and war in Ukiraine continue for much longer, according to the chief of sales and marketing at IT distribution company, Advice.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February has disrupted supply chains.
The effect of China’s lockdown is expected to last one to two months.
People working from home and studying online make up most of this demand for notebooks and desktop computers in Thailand.
