Tech giant Razer opens more jobs for its new headquarters

SINGAPORE: More jobs will be available with the recent opening of gaming giant Razer at the country’s tech and business complex, One-North.

Co-founder and chief executive officer Min-Liang Tan said, “With the new Razer Southeast Asia headquarters, we’re excited to expand our family in Singapore from 600 to 1,000 employees.”

Razer’s LinkedIn page lists jobs for roles such as marketing, development manager, software engineer, data scientist, and social media specialist. In July, the company opened vacancies for professionals in the fintech space.

“The new regional hub represents everything that Razer stands for, from innovation to design to sustainability. It will not only be home to Razer’s growing staff, but also to up-and-coming entrepreneurs, and even gamers looking for a place to train and learn,” Tan added.

To accomplish this, Razer dedicated an area in its state-of-the-art building for esports workshops and training to support local teams and talents. The interiors were designed to spark creativity, innovation, and the free flow of information among staff. Razer also collaborated with JustCo, a Singaporean company that provides coworking workspaces, to support its hybrid work arrangements within its creative teams. Razer Singapore is set to follow the lead of its offices in the U.S., Germany, and Singapore as another branch that is Great Place to Work®-certified.

With the #GoGreenWithRazer initiative, a 10-year plan for a sustainable environment, the new Southeast Asia headquarters gained the Green Mark GoldPLUS certification from the Building and Construction Authorities in Singapore. It has eco-friendly features, such as solar panels and sensor-enabled lighting units. The company also removed all single-use plastics and utilized BAMBOOLOO, a brand of sustainable paper products.
