Singapore enhances support for businesses, jobseekers

SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has said that the Enterprise Financing Scheme – Trade Loan will be enhanced to support local enterprises with cashflow concerns.

The maximum loan available under the scheme will be increased from SGD 5 million to SGD 10 million, with the government continuing to provide 70% risk-share for the scheme until the end of March, 2023.

Aside from companies, jobseekers will also receive additional support from the government.

The Jobs Growth Incentive, which provides support for employers to hire mature jobseekers who have not been working for at least six months and persons with disabilities or ex-offenders, will be extended to March 2023.
