There's plenty of movement at the top of the HR profession at the moment, with several senior-level roles announced recently. This installment of Movin' on Up highlights some big news at Twitter, and Lindström, among others.


Grace Chan joins UCSI Group

Grace Chan has joined UCSI Group in Malaysia as its Vice President of HR, effective from January 2022. Chan has worked as a general manager and director for other Malaysian firms including Bursa Malaysia and Berjaya Corporation. She brings a comprehensive background in developing and deploying Human Capital strategies and has more than 30 years of professional executive experience working in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Taipei, and Vietnam.



Twitter welcomes Sapna Saxena

Social media giant Twitter has hired Sapna Saxena as its Head of HR for the Asia Pacific (including Japan) region. Saxena is based in Singapore and has worked for firms such as PayPal and Telstra, both as directors of HR. The Harvard graduate has experience across different industries, and in both multinational and public sector companies, with regional as well as locally-focused roles. She is also a certified facilitator and behaviour-based interviewer.




KAS Group Asia hires new country HR lead

Chowdhury Shovon Rafique Shuvo has joined KAS Group Asia as its HR Lead Manager - People & Capability - for Bangladesh and Indonesia. Shuvo is based in Dhaka and has had several different stints in HR leadership positions, including as Head of HR for both Li & Fung and Mainetti. He has led teams with over 800 staff, implemented several key HR programs, and is an expert in recruitment and assessing pay practices.



Lindström onboards Sandra Andersson

Textile rental service firm, Lindström, has welcomed Sandra Andersson as its new Head of HR for Asia. Andersson has previously worked for IKEA as its HR manager and as an HR business partner for Bring Frigo S.L. In her free time, she coaches people and firms on managing staff and key HR practices. Andersson has a sociology degree from Mid Sweden University.
