Indonesian workers' priorities changing due to pandemic

INDONESIA: A survey has revealed that 68% of Indonesian professionals prefer better work-life balance, overall well-being, and happiness over pay rise and/or a promotion, according to professional recruitment services firm Michael Page Indonesia.

Salaries and bonuses are still top motivators for candidates, but the survey showed a swing towards non-monetary benefits being used more often to attract and retain talent.

In addition, 72% of the survey's respondents want a hybrid work arrangement between working from home and the office, and 81% of candidates believe that mental health and well-being should be included in employee performance and appraisals.
