Indonesia surges ahead with HR digitalisation program

INDONESIA: The management of the country’s human resources in government offices and agencies will now undergo digitalisation, with a partnership between the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Ministry and the state-run PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

The institutions signed a memorandum of understanding on the "Digitalisation of Human Resource Management for Civil Servant and Government Institutional Financial Ecosystem Program" that will produce a single digital platform to integrate data and information on the management of HR resources.

This will ensure a quality decision-making process and better services for the communities.

"BNI is a strategic partner who has already had experience in developing human capital supported by the utilization of a reliable technology platform," PANRB Minister Tjahjo Kumolo said.

"The collaboration is also one of our strategic steps for developing human resources, which is also one of President Joko Widodo’s priority programs," he added.

Meanwhile, the president/director of BNI, Royke Tumilaar, said that the digital service collaboration was available for all ministries, agencies, and institutions.

"It is also our attempt to encourage more sustainable economic growth which is accompanied by various digital transformation innovations to support an electronic-based governance system," he commented.
