HR tech platform Darwinbox announces expansion plans

HR TECHNOLOGY: Self described "New Age" HR Management System Darwinbox has announced plans to expand its presence across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The software-as-a-service platform will add more than 100 people across Southeast Asia, in addition to a further 100 new hires in India. The increased staff will add to the company’s roster of engineers, customer support, and sales and marketing teams.

Darwinbox co-founder Rohit Chennamaneni says the company aims to highlight its presence in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Middle East, and Japan, taking advantage of renewed interest in HR technology services amidst the big changes of remote working setups in the ongoing pandemic

“Suddenly, there was a lot more interest among companies to look at HR technology to automate their activities,” he said.

Chennamaneni added that the company saw a 300% increase in demand in 2020, with 1.5 million employees from over 650 client enterprises using the platform. Zalora, Starbucks, Tokopedia, Zilingo, JG Summit Group, Nivea, and Axa are some of the most well-known Darwinbox users.
