SINGAPORE: Amazon Singapore employees and their family members are set to benefit from a new free mental health and wellbeing support program launched recently.
The enhanced benefits package, called the Employee Assistance Program, lets employees and their families access free resources, such as sessions with certified wellness coaches, webinars, personalised advice, and interactive self-care programs.
Henry Low, Country Manager of Amazon Singapore, said the company was aiming to remove barriers and unnecessary stigma around getting help. "(We want to) ensure our employees and their families feel safe and supported," he said. "In providing a range of services, as well as regular dialogue with employees about mental health, we hope to help in every way we can."
The company says it has made hundreds a wide range of improvements globally, all emanating from employees’ feedback on improving workplace wellbeing.
"It's very comforting to know that I have a range of mental health resources available not just for me but for my entire family. I'm glad it's not a one-size-fits-all solution and offers a genuine range of services for all of us," said Amazon employee, Carissa Seah.
