Some 95% of employers in the Philippines plan to make employee experience a top priority for their organisations over the coming years.
That is the key finding behind the 2021 Employee Experience survey by insurance and advisory firm Willis Towers Watson. Its research showed that the number of employers prioritising this aspect of HR rose from 65% prior to the pandemic, to 95% in 2021.
Most respondents believed employee experience was key for staff engagement (89% agreed it was a driver), productivity (88%), employee wellbeing (87%), and overall business performance (88%).
The pandemic has driven much of the change, with many employers fundamentally shifting the way they and their staff work. Remote and hybrid working have become the norm.
“As organisations look ahead to a post-pandemic era, their ability to move the needle on their employee experience will be critical," Lee Briones, Employee Insights Leader, Willis Towers Watson said. "To succeed, they must start with a bold employee experience strategy that supports their business strategy. Then, they can turn to execution: adapting programs and policies reflective of flexible work (and other experience-related goals)."
